My husband has this on the back of his car.

(Even when we were Evangelical, we didn't have a "Jesus fish" on the back of the car. I mean, how do you drive in a "Christian" manner?)

A lady decided to get OUT OF HER CAR during a red light and start rebuking my husband, loudly. She held up traffic, as well.

I see plenty of "offensive" things on the backs of people's cars. It's their freakin' right to have it.

Christians, please. If you can have the WALL of bumperstickers (ABORTION STOPS A BEATING HEART! MY BOSS IS A JEWISH CARPENTER! KNOW JESUS, KNOW PEACE!) on the back of YOUR car, we can have our Sushi fish and our "Coexist" sticker.


I have a "Coexist" sticker and also one that says "Love your neighbor implies not killing them."

I'm going to get something with fairies on it next. :)

Yeah, I'm liking the fairies idea more and more and now am contemplating a tattoo.

Honestly, tattoos are not something I ever thought I'd seriously be considering but...I am. :)

Old story: I was 43 years old when I got my first tattoo, after contemplating the idea for about 5 years or so. I got two more that same year. Now, almost 7 years later, I'm up to seven, with number 8 in the planning stage. That's not to say you'll get hooked on them (but I was told they can be addictive). The biggest caveat is to think very VERY carefully about what ink you want and where you want it. It's not a venture to be entered into lightly. Unlike marriage, you're really stuck with ink for the rest of your life (unless you want to go through the more uncomfortable process of removal).

Having said that, have fun with it and post a pic if you should decide to do it.

P.S.: That's my latest ink in my icon pic. Our daughter has loved theater since high school and now is a senior in theater/education in college. Okay, I'm done. :D

Yeah, definitely waiting a while before I get any ink done. I want to find the *right* design. It's going on my left shoulder, when I do find it.

I have another design in mind for a different tattoo I've been toying with for years but that's going to be for a Very Special Occasion that may or may not happen.

But thanks for the advice! It's the first time I've felt really strongly about having a tattoo of any sort really.

My first ink wasn't actually my first choice. I brought two designs with me but went with the second idea first. In fact, the one I originally thought I wanted to do first ended up being my third tattoo. Go fig.
