Hi! Updating like an updatey thing!

Hello all! Just here to update y'all on my life. :)

I don't often go on DreamWidth, I never did get the hang of it, but since I'm crossposting to LJ it'll be easier to keep with things, hopefully.

-Liam is now 15 years old. He is five feet, six inches tall, which means he pretty much TOWERS over me. ...he has to shave now. It's weird.

-I have gone onto maintenance with my weight loss plan. I went from a size 22 to a size 8-10 and I'm pretty satisfied with it.

-that said, loose skin is kind of disheartening.

-I'm still working at the same Senior Services agency that I've been working at for the past 7 or so years and I still like it, even though it can be a little dull.

-I am currently in classes to gain my 2nd Degree in Wicca. The classes are really good and helpful to me personally, as it does cover some lack in my education as a human being.

-It's been a long dry season in the case of writing but I'm starting to get my creativity on again. Right now I'm working on a couple of fics, one for Homestuck and one for Hunger Games. It's coming steadily. the thought of leaving those two in progress forever is not an option.

How is everyone doing these days? I'm usually over at Tumblr but I'm trying to get away from that, as Tumblr really...requires no deep thought from me. It's all reblogging. Kind of boring but also hard to tear yourself away from.

A little bit mad, I seem to be working two jobs and studying law and running a magazine these days. But one of the "jobs" is my self-employed dream job so it's worth it. LIFE.

I can't believe your tiny baby is fifteen and shaving. How did that even happen?

I do not even know, if you can tell me I'd appreciate it. all I know is that one moment he's running around shoulder high, the next I'm looking up at him and he's got a nannygoat thing goin on. :D

Hello hello! Good glory, Liam is 15? I still think of him as "Oh, Shellebelle has a kid, I think he's 6 or so?" Ye gods and little fishes.

Good to hear from you! Life's going quite well for me. :) Still working as a secretary at the same university, which is a good sort of day job for me. I'm still RPing some, doing a lot more writing than I used to (a couple of stories published, even! I'm nowhere near over the delight of that. Also a bunch of fanfic), still dancing, still living in Boston with an increasing number of friends in the area, dating an excellent lady I've been friends with for years. I've surprised myself by kind of falling into Les Misérables fandom -- usually I'm not really engaged with any one fandom to any great extent, especially not to the point of considering myself in the fandom -- but it's really fun, and I'm also of course still dabbling in my usual level of background fannishness for a billion things at once.

hehe Believe me, if you think it's weird, think how I feel!

I've been working at the same place for the past seven or so years, it's pretty cool. I've just recently come through a really thick cloud of anxiety that had been plaguing me for a few years now and I'm actually coming back to life, which is cool.

And yes, a million and one things at once, at least. Or at least Homestuck. :)

15?!?! When the heck did THAT happen.  I'm one to talk.  Our kids are full adults  (24, 26, 29).

I am so glad to hear of the maintenance but sorry to hear about the loose skin. There are some that look at that as battle scars.

How are your classes in Wicca doing?

Yeah that's how I'm looking at it. Its just a thing I gotta deal with.

They're going really well, I'm learning so much and I enjoy my classmates. :)

Thank you! It's nice to hear from you as well. Savor the days when children are small. For soon adolescence comes to make them grumpy and stress them out. ;)
