Because it's too cute not to mark as a milestone...

My son came home from school and told his very first knock-knock joke. Here it is, in it's entirety. I have to admit I didn't get the punchline, but it was so adorable I laughed anyway.

Q: Knock, knock
A: Who's there?
Q: Orange.
A: Orange who?
Q: Orange who just knocked made you come over and open the door.

I don't get it, but it's still cute. :)

Here from Mincots LJ

Oh, I agree, it was *so* very cute! But never mention it when he's become a teenager, he'll be *so* embarrassed! :-P

Oh, we wouldn't want to do *that*. :) No, no. Never in front of a girlfriend or anything.

It's supposed to be "Orange you glad you came knocking at my door" or something along those lines. A good first effort on the art of the pun. :)

Oh, thank you!

Very cute, indeed! It's his very first joke, and sometimes if the line is more than a few words, he gets things mixed up. :-)

I got it... I think

I don't mean to sound picky/offensive, but the actual punch line to that is, "Orange you glad I came knocking at your door."

But Liam's version does make sense and is still funny.
(In my head I heard this in Dennis Miller's voice)

Q: Knock, knock
A: Who's there?
Q: Orange.
A: Orange who?
Q: Orange [you know] who just knocked [Guy that] made you come over and open the door."

**imagines "Orange" giving an unspoken 'DUH' and a slight eye roll at the door answerer's density**

Obviously, the lad has a gift for telling Knock-knock Jokes.
