tree_talking | I've had a pretty nice weekend...

On Saturday I went to the Pioneer Valley Harpers' Guild Harp Circle. I did something a little different with what I played this time. I played The Water is Wide and sang as well. I could only use one hand, but singing it helped me keep the song in the proper time and not rush through. After circle was over ('circle' is when we go round and everyone plays something for the group), this one harper (who is SO talented, singing and playing her own compositions, and is also a professional) came over and RAVED about my voice, and said "this is the way you should go--let me show you some things". She gave me some hints to begin accompanying myself and I'm very excited about working on this now. I've been looking for how I should kick things up a notch and I've found it. So, a very good day.

Mother's Day has also been pretty great. Went to church and then went out to dinner to a Chinese Buffet--not too crowded and Liam's behaviour was EXCELLENT the whole time. I got a nap afterwards, now I'm just chilling out online.

A VERY nice weekend.

Now, all I need is a job and I'll be set! ;) All in good time, I'm sure.
