Update? Me?

Stream of consciousness entry:

-Liam is doing very well in first grade. For those of you who do not know, my son is in a classroom designed for autistic children for most of the day, and also in a neurotypical classroom for a few hours of the day. He loves going into the neurotypical classroom and usually gets to do math there. He's wonderful in math. He makes up problems for himself and does it for FUN. :) I find that a great thing. He's also reading very well and he's talking non-stop sometimes.

-My latest temp contract has ended. The agency has my resume out, though. I'm hoping to be working again very soon.

-I'm considering doing NaNoWriMo this year. I have a novel idea I've been playing with for a few months that seems very timely, considering everything going on in our government. This might be a good way of getting it down quickly. I can finesse it later.

-I have watched all of Firefly *finally*. I love it so very much. I could get addicted to this show just for the sets and costumes, but the characters really make it.

And...that's all I can think of for now. :)

Firefly is divine, is it not? I rarely get crushes on fictional characters but.... yumm... Kaylee....

I wish I had an idea for a book. I'd try NanoWriMo. Unfortunatly nothing comes to mind. I lost that writer's spark a long time ago.

Awww, great news about Liam. :) My son has really great teachers at his preschool this year, and I'm feeling good about where he'll be by the time he starts kindergarten.

Yay for Liam! Shrek is also doing very well in first grade, some classes mainstreamed, some in the self-contained. He's doing math in self-contained mostly for the focus factor; he also is good with numbers and I've talked to his teacher about giving him more challenging work. Most exciting for me is he is the best reader in the mainstream classroom. So nice to see something he can be the best at. I know you know what I mean.
