Not much to say, but the current calandar on my LJ is up at May and I want it to switch to June, so I'll make a post. :)

I lucked out and actually managed to hit the Book Sale at the Library this morning. I got 4 nice books on sewing (embellishments, tailoring, fit) for 25 cents each, and a nice hardcover about Plato and Marcus Aurelius at 50 cents. Mmmmmmbooks.

I want to make a majority of my clothing from now on because I hate buying clothes that never fit, and if I'm going to take them home to alter them, what's the point of paying money to the store? Plus, the stuff I can afford is cheaply made liek wo, plus you can get so much pretty fabric for not so much money these days.

We'll see what happens. I'd really like to be able to sew well. I like unique clothing with pretty fabric, and I love to choose said fabric and patterns, but...I never seem to get past cutting it out.

Here's to hoping!

Good luck! If you can complete one, that might give me the inspiration to resurrect some of my cut and pinned items. :)

I totally agree with that. Completion of one often leads to an abnormal bout of enthusiasm to see projects finished. Take it as someone who knows on that front!

Yes, I totally agree, Jane. If I can get the pattern cut out and marked, it's destined to be finished. Good luck with your sewing, Shelle. And what a good find! 25 cents apiece. Wouldn't find that here unless it was a yard sale.
