My Very First Journal Entry (tm)

This is my very first, no-frills, brown paper bag journal entry. I hope to have more intresting things to say in future. For the moment, I just wanted to get this thing off the ground. I'm thirty-three years old and the proud mother of a three-year-old boy. I have a really great husband who loves us both a lot. I've got diabetes and I'm trying very hard to keep it under control. I'm sure you'll hear me ranting about my diet or exercise habits upon occasion. Here's an odd thing: since I was diagnosed with diabetes, I can *smell* the amount of sugar a thing has in it. For instance, I can smell the difference between Equal and Sweet 'n' Low. I can smell the difference between Diet and Regular Coke just by smelling it. When I go down the baked-goods aisle in the supermarket, I can smell the sugar. *sigh* 'Taint fair!
