Song Title Meme...

Gacked from [livejournal.com profile] synesthete7 (who gacked it from someone else...)

Pick a band and answer the following questions using song titles from that band:

Are you male or female? Meltdown at Madame Tussaud's (the best I could do...)
Describe yourself: On the Fritz
How do some people feel about you? Since I gave up Hope I feel a lot better
How do you feel about yourself? Violent Blue (at times, anyway...)
Describe your girlfriend/boyfriend/interest: A Principled Man
Where would you rather be? Escher's World
Describe what you want to be: I Want to Be a Clone (Kidding, kidding!)
Describe how you live: Easy Listening
Describe how you love: I just wanna know
Share a few words of wisdom: Harder to Believe than Not to

Okay, that was a little rough...I decided to pick the most difficult artist I could and see if I could do the meme. Brownie points to anyone who can actually name the artist. (Except hubby. He'll know immediately. Sorry, hon. ;-)

You are Storm!

You are very strong and very protective of those
you love. You are in tune with nature and are
very concerned with justice and humanity.
Unfortunately, certain apprehensions and fears
are very hard for you to overcome, and can
often inhibit you when most need to be strong.

The "I Want To Be A Clone" makes me guess... Steve Taylor?

Somehow...I knew you'd get it. I've been a fan of his since 1984. Quirky satire--that's what I like...

"I Want To Be a Clone" is actually the only Steve Taylor song I've ever heard, and I remember about two lines of it. I liked it at the time, though, and briefly toyed with the idea of buying his album. Never got around to it, however... and the rest is non-history.

But since I am the Fount of All Trivial Knowledge, that little packet of information was stored away in my brain for the last nigh-twenty years, just waiting for you. :)

Yeah, "I want to be a Clone" has been the descriptor for my years at Bible College (which my husband and I affectionately call "That Place" {shudder}). Someday, I'll post about it...if I can remember what I've blocked out. ;-) Put plainly, but for a few very bright spots (hubby being one of them), it was absolute h-e-double hockey sticks.

I am a fount of Arcane Knowledge as well...it's really only good for the Arts and Literature portions of Trivial Pursuit, though.

Yes! Someone with TASTE (or at least a little musical KNOWLEDGE....)

So it's not cheating, then, to focus on a lead singer as opposed to an actual band? You've got Steve Taylor and Some Band with a spattering of Chagall Guevara in there. BTW, for the gender question, you forgot about the song "Jenny."

So let's see... hrmm... gonna focus on Creed for this one. This should surprise no one.
Are you male or female? Faceless Man
Describe yourself: Torn
How do some people feel about you? Pity for a Dime
How do you feel about yourself? Weathered
Describe your girlfriend/boyfriend/interest: Stand Here With Me
Where would you rather be? Hide
Describe what you want to be: Never Die
Describe how you live: Don't Stop Dancing
Describe how you love: Bound and Tied
Share a few words of wisdom: Wash Away Those Years

Jenny isn't on any of our CD's. I don't know if it was cheating to include Chagall Guevera in there, but I did anyway. ;-)
