A cute story...

Sometimes, my son will come up to me with a crayon and paper or his Magna-Doodle, and ask for a 'smile'. So I'll draw a big smiley face, and he describes all the parts as I draw them: "O", "eyes", "nose", "SMILE"! (Keep in mind that he's got a little lisp, so it sounds extra cute) I'll give him the paper and he'll be very happy.

Does someone in your life need a 'smile' today?

I think you've just given all your friends one ...

percival, who's really interested in details of the diet you're on at the moment.

The actual details...I try to follow the Diabetic Exchange plan for 1500 calories a day. Unfortunately, I always neglect my fruits and vegetables, so I'm always carb-rich, and that isn't good. I'm trying to remedy that, though.

Thanks for your concern. I sometimes feel I'm fighting my battles alone, as far as diet goes, anyway. I'll keep updating.

Yeah, I also find the fruit and veg hard to match.

Some things that I found useful:
- eat whole peppers with bread, as a sort of sandwich filling
- snack on apples and berries
- have some salad with my meals
- have some live yoghurt with fruit pieces (mango, kiwi)

But I'm still struggling, so you're not alone!
